Cthulu'ling is one of the playable Shadows in Light Bearers.

It had been weeks since Cthulu'ling's so called "father" had been down to the basement to play and the little hellion was getting restless. He fully understood that he was created out of Vir De Somnio's anger as a successor to all that his father was trying to create, but the youngling still believed Vir De Somnio could have made more of an effort to take an hour a day to come down. Especially since their characters in Champions & Castles were right in the middle of a fight against a horde of heavily armored and smelly human paladins.
Since the last time Cthulu'ling had see his father he had read every book in the room, played all the board games twice and watched The Light Haunting which gave him horrible nightmares of frolicking through a field of flowers. He was utterly and completely bored out of his devious mind. So bored that one day he got the nerve to creep up the stone spiral staircase and spy on Vir De Somnio. He went undetected by all the minions running around, but the true test came when he entered his father's lair.
The room was drowned in darkness with pulsating red lights. On the far side, standing in front of a large gate was Vir De Somnio, his father. He was staring into the portal watching and every so often he would wave his hand. Each time he did this the gate would blip and show another location within The Twilight. Cthulu'ling was curious what laid beyond the gate, but wasn't able to see into the portal from where he was. He closed his eyes tight and activated his stealth. Very quietly he crept along the edge of the room and approached the gate.
Peering into the portal he could see the vile Light Bears running around mocking the Shadows and Shadow Bears. Didn't they know who his father was? Vir De Somnio was no one to be trifled with. Cthulu'ling looked up at his father and was shocked to see a grimace of concern splattered across his face. Things were evidently not going as expected. He had the most amazing idea, "Ill go into The Twilight and with all the power father has given me I can turn the tides in his favor. Then he can come and play Champions & Castles again."
Thinking about all the fun they'll have once this is over, Cthulu'ling let out a giggle. Luckily, he had already stepped through the portal and into The Twilight so all Vir De Somnio heard was a muffled squeak that he blamed on a passing minion. Excited to make his father proud, Cthulu'ling gave chase to the first Light Bear he saw. Except it wasn't as easy as he thought it would be, snuffle "Just you wait until my father gets here!"

Tips[ | ]
- Try and get pyramids all over the map for maximum map coverage.
- If you can't see any Light Bears through the walls, placing pyramids will help reveal them
